Wardrobe Downsizing

with Susan Jacobs

Image, Style & Wardrobe Consultant

“It’s so wonderful to have a streamlined wardrobe – have pieces that all work together. I cannot believe how good it felt to get rid of everything that was no longer ‘me,’ I’ve overcome that nagging feeling of not being presentable. I feel like a million bucks!”

In Person & Online

Are you like so many women who have just too much stuff? Yet still you feel you have nothing to wear?
Well, there is some truth to that. You are only wearing 17% of what’s in there. Why? It’s too overwhelming to dig through. And too frustrating looking at all of those fashion & shopping mistakes.

How about this?

Downsize. With intention. Subscribe to more sustainability in your wardrobe and know what to wear where!

Too much stuff is stressful. Fact.
Too much stuff makes landfills happy. Fact.
Too much stuff doesn’t mean more options. Fact.
Too much stuff is money wasted. Fact.
Too much stuff often = nothing to wear. Fact.

The only way to look “put together, polished, current, inspiring” is to wear things that fit and flatter, but firstly, that you love.

“I never could have imagined that cleaning out 75% of my closet would leave me feeling like I have more to choose from, not less. Your keen eye and ability to mix and match what I already have, with some key additions, has transformed my wardrobe. I feel stronger, more current and more confident when I step out the door now. Thank you so much.”

“What I had been agonizing over for months, we accomplished in my closet in 2 hours. I cannot believe how I feel – lighter, inspired, happy, hopeful and not lost but found!  Plus to think of all the money you saved me by restyling so many of my pieces that I would have donated or recycled. My wish is that all women could have the experience of you Susan. You are deliberate yet understanding, knowledgeable, creative, efficient and professional. Your keen eye is truly a gift! Thanks so much.”

“I really appreciate the clear perspective Sue provides on wardrobe items that I am not sure about. She either agrees I need to remove them or insists that I should keep them and invents an array of outfits for me to show me how to continue to wear them. This makes me more comfortable in investing in items when I know I will get good value and wear out of each of them.”

Downsize with Intention

I’m inviting you to Save TIME. Save FRUSTRATION. Save
MONEY. How? By GETTING RID of everything that you don’t love, doesn’t suit you or that’s had it’s time.

During the Downsizing appointment, whether in person or online, we will:

  • edit your wardrobe and keep only what you love, what works for your body now, lifestyle and image goals
  • work in the current season to minimize overwhelm
  • store what you aren’t quite ready to say goodbye to – no questions asked – eventually you will come back to these items
  • while talking about how you ‘feel’ in each piece, we will make a collection of clothes that don’t feel like you now. If in good condition, taking them to a resale shop is prudent and environmentally responsible. This keeps fashion recycling and in use
  • remove clothes that are tired, dated, faded, stained and unflattering by donating to your favourite charity. I’ll drop them if you like. Knowing you are helping others makes this easier.
  • reclaim your space and organize your wardrobe so you know exactly what you have, what you may need. Everything is at your fingertips
  • build your style confidence by keeping only what showcases you so when you get dressed, you KNOW your most authentic style is being showcased
